Originally constructed in 2008, Yukro’s washing station consistently impresses us year after year, and not without good reason: our 2018 selection exudes floral aromas atop textured notes of dried apricot and oolong tea.
Yukro, located in Ethiopia's western region of Jimma, highlights the diversity of Ethiopia’s growing regions. Though situated in the remote west, Yukro is a strongly supported cooperative due to the investment of TechnoServe, an international non-profit with the mission of supporting impoverished agricultural communities. In the case of Yukro, TechnoServe hired agronomists, invested in equipment and strengthened cooperative management to support their efforts, creating a lasting structure in the service of this beautiful coffee.
Harvested between November and January, Yukro joined the Parlor menu in April with its release timed so you can savor this coffee at its peak. Enjoy it to the fullest.
