And so the procession begins! As we round out summer and step into the fall season, we're proud to feature two new Mexican coffees on our menu: Yosotatu Reserva and Miramar Reserva. Earlier this year, we traveled to our neighbor's southern states of Oaxaca and Chiapas to cup farmers' lots and discover the expressive coffees lovingly cultivated by farmers in the region.
Both of these offerings, produced by smallholder farmers in the Santa María Yucuhiti region, are a testament to their collective dedication as well as our mission of building sustainable and direct relationships with producers and their communities. In addition, we're thrilled to be featuring México El Triunfo—a coffee sourced from one of the world’s most diverse forest reserves in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas—as one of two components in our Wallabout blend.

Angel Perez España is a farmer whose talents reach far beyond his fields. First and foremost, Angel manages three small plots of land, each under cultivation of coffee. As Treasurer and Head of Supply Chain Logistics of the Sierra Mixteca coop, he is also developing a quality control program for its 150 active farmer members.
This year, one of Angel's top lots—along with the top lots from four other producers—make up our current offering of México Miramar Reserva. (It's worth noting that Angel was also the proud producer of México Malpaso, another well-loved microlot featured on our menu last fall.)
